Let’s work together to turn the tide on pollution and rubbish in our seas and on our beaches.

The Marine Conservation Society started in 1983 in a garden shed in Herefordshire, and is now  the UK’s leading charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife.

For over thirty years MCS has been the voice for the sea for all the fascinating creatures that live beneath the waves, for our breath-taking coastal environment, for all those who make a sustainable living from the sea and for everyone who simply enjoys visiting the beach and our glorious coastline.

The charity believe too much is being taken out and too much is being put into our seas. Their scientists, campaigners, volunteers, advocates, data experts, fundraisers, divers and researchers are all passionate about creating a sustainable future for our seas.

Teachers - have you discovered @BookPenPals? A new initiative pairing authors & illustrators with schools to make reading recommendations via postcards. They're pretty oversubscribed, but if you're interested it might be worth getting your name on the waiting list. They have some fabulous authors on board.
