I am over the moon to welcome Claire Barker to the site today. Claire lives on a small farm in North Devon (very much my part of the world but a little further down the country!) and I have read that her brain is like a barrel of excited monkeys!  Isn't that a fabulous expression?

Claire's fabulously named new series Picklewitch and Jack comes out next week and I am excited about getting a copy to review on the site. Claire also writes the award winning Knitbone Pepper stories, about a lovable ghost dog. So far there are three Knitbone Pepper books (available in hardback, paperback and audiobook) and I am told we can look forward to two more in due course.

Teachers - have you discovered @BookPenPals? A new initiative pairing authors & illustrators with schools to make reading recommendations via postcards. They're pretty oversubscribed, but if you're interested it might be worth getting your name on the waiting list. They have some fabulous authors on board.
